Questions before getting started?

who benefits from speech therapy?

Any child or teen who’s having a hard time being understood, understanding others, or connecting the way they want to. That can include late talkers; children on the autism spectrum; gestalt language processors; children with apraxia of speech; speech sound, language, or social communication differences; fluency/stuttering; AAC users; and kids with feeding or cognitive-communication needs.

do you take insurance?

We’re currently private pay, but we do provide Superbills (special receipts) that you can submit to your insurance. Some plans reimburse, some don’t—coverage is very plan-specific, but we’ll make sure you have the paperwork you need to try.

what will sessions actually be like?

Sessions are play-based, flexible, and centered on your child. We follow their interests, build in meaningful communication opportunities, and use everyday routines—snacks, toys, books, movement—to make progress feel natural. You’ll get simple ideas to weave into your week so therapy fits your real life, not the other way around.

who will actually be working with my child?

Your child will work with Madison Jeffery, CCC-SLP, founder of Social House Therapy. Madison believes progress starts with feeling seen and blends play, patience, and practical coaching so families notice more your-child-started-it moments and fewer guessing games in daily routines.

Learn more about Madison on our About Us page.
