Our services
Evaluations
We believe in the power of early identification and personalized care. Our Speech and Language evaluations and treatment plans are designed to not only address challenges but also highlight each client’s unique strengths. By working closely with clients and their support networks, we create a collaborative plan that fosters growth in their ability to understand, express, and connect through language. Our licensed SLPs are trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat expressive & receptive language, social communication, fluency/stuttering, articulation & phonology, apraxia of speech, and more.
AAC Support
AAC refers to a wide range of tools and strategies that support communication, from picture boards and gestures to communication apps and high-tech devices. At Social House Therapy, we help clients and families use their AAC systems with confidence in everyday life. Our role is to integrate AAC into therapy and natural routines so that each individual has meaningful ways to express themselves and connect with others.
Pediatric Feeding
We support children with feeding challenges—from picky eating to safe chewing and swallowing. Our goal is to make mealtimes positive and stress-free by gently expanding food variety at each child’s pace, while promoting safe, healthy feeding practices at home and in the community.
Cognitive Communication
Attention, memory, organization, and problem-solving all shape how we interact, learn, and connect. In speech therapy, we strengthen these executive-function skills with practical strategies, visual supports, and self-advocacy tools. Our goal is to help each person plan, remember, and participate more independently in daily life.
Communication Delays
If your child’s first words or gestures are delayed, we step in to spark growth through playful interactions and familiar routines. Our approach is hands-on and connection-driven—therapy doesn’t just happen in a session, it becomes part of everyday life. During meals, errands, and play, we’ll show you simple strategies that turn daily moments into opportunities for language learning.
Expressive, Receptive & Social Language
Some people have challenges understanding directions, expressing ideas, or navigating social interactions. We support language growth through natural interactions while honoring each person’ unique communication style. Our neurodiversity-affirming approach helps client’s express themselves authentically, advocate for their needs, and build the skills and confidence to connect with others in meaningful ways—without being asked to fit into a box.
Gestalt Language Processing
Some people learn language in “chunks,” like song lyrics, movie quotes, or familiar phrases. This style of learning is called Gestalt Language Processing (GLP). We support the transition from scripted language to flexible, original expression—so communication feels natural and authentic.
Speech Sound Disorders
When speech sounds unclear, people may feel frustrated or lose confidence. Our SLPs look closely at why someone is having difficulty—whether it’s just a few sounds, larger sound patterns, challenges with motor planning, or muscle coordination/strength. With this insight, we create a personalized treatment plan that helps clients gain clarity, confidence, and ease in everyday conversations.
Fluency & Stuttering
Our therapy approach balances fluency strategies with self-advocacy and resilience, so clients learn that their words matter, no matter how they come out. We help them communicate with confidence while embracing their unique voice.

We’re an in-home practice based in Tempe and Scottsdale, AZ areas. We also offer telehealth anywhere in Arizona. With approval, we can see your child in select ABA and child care settings too—wherever makes the most sense for your family.
-
We’re currently private pay, but we do provide Superbills (special receipts) that you can submit to your insurance. Some plans reimburse, some don’t—coverage is very plan-specific, but we’ll make sure you have the paperwork you need to try.
-
We start with connection, not checklists. Our care is child-led, family-centered, and neurodiversity-affirming, so your child isn’t asked to “fit a mold.” We coach caregivers generously, and focus on progress that actually shows up in your real life.
-
We offer 30-minute or 60-minute sessions, and we’ll recommend the best fit based on your child’s needs so therapy stays effective, engaging, and not overwhelming.
-
Sessions are play-based, flexible, and centered on your child. We follow their interests, build in meaningful communication opportunities, and use everyday routines—snacks, toys, books, movement—to make progress feel natural. You’ll get simple ideas to weave into your week so therapy fits your real life, not the other way around.
